Please join us in celebrating toolmaker Rob Ventrello, who recently wrapped his 40th year at Fourslide.
Rob started working for Fourslide right out of high school in 1986. Born and raised right here in Bristol, he attended Bristol Eastern High School and E.C. Goodwin Regional Vocational-Technical School (NKA Bristol Technical Education Center), where he studied machine tooling.
Rob enjoys the challenge of designing new tools and the reward of seeing them run parts successfully. He enjoys working for a small, family-owned business where employers know you as a person, not a number. He has stayed with Fourslide because the family has been good to him. Rob has worked under three generations of Funks: Art Sr., Art Jr. and now Bryan.
Rob is an avid saltwater fisherman, targeting striped bass, bluefish and false albacore. He also enjoys riding his dirt bike at the Thomaston Dam and other local riding areas. Rob and his wife, Michelle, have been married for 25 years and recently purchased a house in Old Saybrook, where they moor their Sailfish 245DC powerboat. They recently adopted a Goldendoodle puppy named Sprocket.
