Getting Your Part Made

We will guide you effortlessly from customer print, to tooling, to pilot sampling, to finished production components. If yours is a new part, we encourage you to contact us early in the design process so that our experienced staff can offer advice. Our process is highly consultative, focused on helping you find the best source to produce your part in the most economical way possible.

Here’s a brief rundown of what you can expect leading up to production:

1. Request a Quote

Whether you’re designing a new part or are looking to save money producing an existing one, start by filling out our RFQ form or emailing us information about your part. You can also call (860) 583-1688 to speak with one of our experts.

2. Discovery

Someone from our team will promptly reach out for a quick preliminary discussion about your part and production requirements. We strive to respond within the next business day.

3. Engineering Evaluation

Your file then moves to our engineering team to determine whether your part is a good fit for the fourslide process, and to identify any design issues that might cause manufacturability challenges. We will also assess the potential complexity of the required tooling. This is the most time-consuming step, but also the most crucial one.

4. Follow-Up Interview

Next, we will come back to you with any further questions regarding part details, material specs, or other information that may not be noted on your print. We’ll offer engineering suggestions for manufacturability or design tweaks that might maintain functionality while reducing production costs.

If we haven’t already, we’ll also discuss your long-term vision for the part to determine the best course of action. After prototypes, will you need a short run to prove out the viability of your product before ramping up production? Will your ultimate production volumes justify your up-front tooling investment?

5. Quoting

We have an extensive database of vendors for material and any necessary secondary operations. We’ll determine the best fits for your part requirements, assess tooling complexity, and provide you with an estimate and production timeline.

You will typically have a quote within 5 business days, though it can take a bit longer for complex parts or highly specialized materials.
